For a player, who, it seems has the whole world at his feet Kyle Eastmond is a player who seems to be extremely grounded, and that is something very refreshing.
The back who plays for the Aviva Premiership Rugby Football Union club Bath Rugby is only into his first full season with the cub since he switched codes from the Rugby League to the Rugby Union has also been given recognition for what he has done in his short few months as a Rugby Union player by being given a call up to the England Saxons squad.
It is expected that the 23 year old has a lot of honors in store for him in the future, but the youngster is determined to take one step at a time. He stated that the call up by the England Saxons came as a bit of a shock for him but he added that all he does is concentrate on doing well for his team mates and fans at Bath Rugby. The youngster arrived at the club in late 2011 but his first full season at the club was blighted by injuries.
He mentioned that anything that comes along is great but his first and foremost task is to do well for Bath and see how things develop from there. He mentioned that when he came into Rugby Union, it was really different as he didn’t have much experience and as a result, having different coaches and players around him helped him a lot.
He stated that his desire now is to keep on playing day in and day out and improve himself and thus, help Bath Rugby secure a favorable position in the league table and push towards qualification into the two main European competitions which is the club’s first target.
