Bath Rugby To Miss Francois Louw

A tough time for Bath Rugby- the eminent rugby club would be reportedly missing their star player Francois Louw given the flanker’s critical neck surgery. The flanker can’t be available to his team for another couple of months.
Francois has missed out on Bath’s first 3 games of this latest Aviva Premiership given his stint with S. Africa in Rugby Championship & Ford’s (Mike) side would need to adjust with his absence for two more months.
The 29-year-old Bath star suffered a bad pinched nerve recently in Springboks’ 14-10 loss to the Kiwis & was prescribed to undergo an immediate surgery. He was already ticked off from the rest of Rugby Championship. As per the statements gathered from South African squad physician Craig Roberts, Louw has been advised for rest for around 6 weeks now.
Springboks are hopeful that Francois would be fit enough t get back on the ground for Tests in November in Northern Hemisphere.
“He was initially down with a knock on his head & the scans proved damage on a nerve around the neck region. He had his surgery on affected disc & that would relieve pressure on nerve. Louw might be all square for Outgoing Tour which is scheduled for the final leg of 2014”, stated the South Africa squad doctor while asked to detail about Francois’ present and future situation.
South Africa has got Test matches in Ireland slated for 8th of November, in England on 15th of November, in Italy on 22nd & in Wales on 29th of the month.
It’s a big question now that whether Francois would be actually selected for the November matches or not. But this much is clear that the 29-year-old star player won’t be available for Bath at present and his club cam only expect him in Montpellier match on 6th December.
